Measles - South Africa
The South Africa National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) reported recently that the number of confirmed measles positive cases has topped 900. Since the outbreak started in October 2022, 905 cases have been reported.
Monkeypox - South Korea
The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that the 6th monkeypox (Mpox) confirmed patient in Korea on April 7. The patient was a Korean who visited a medical institution on April 3 with suspected symptoms. This is the first local transmission of monkeypox.
