Floods in France
Flooding in south-western France has killed at least one person and destroyed hundreds of homes. The Government has declared a state of natural catastrophe.
The Agly River burst its banks and caused flooding in Perpignan. The flood displaced around 700 people.
Avalanche - Russia
An avalanche in the Duvansky district in Bashkortostan area of the Ural Mountains has killed two schoolboys.
