Roundup of Global Volcanic Activity:

Etna (Sicily, Italy): Seismic unrest continues and gives the general impression that "something" could be in the making at the volcano. A swarm of earthquakes at depths around 15-20 km has been going on under the SW flank, suggesting magma could be rising from deeper reservoirs into the volcano's shallower storage areas. Tremor has been showing a rising tendency, but so far, no particular eruptive activity has been observed.

Klyuchevskoy (Kamchatka): KVERT reports moderate seismic activity (amplitude of volcanic tremor: 5.11 mcm/s), which has doubled over the past days. Video data showed strong gas-steam activity of the volcano. (KVERT)

Karymsky (Kamchatka): KVERT reports ongoing (likely) strombolian and weak vulcanian activity. A thermal anomaly was detected on satellite data over the volcano and an ash cloud moved to 110 km to the east of the volcano. Ash emissions continued this morning.

Shiveluch (Kamchatka): Activity remains elevated. A new ash plume (likely from another partial dome collapse or explosion) was detected this morning at 03:22 GMT at an estimated altitude of 14,000 ft (4,2 km) extending to the east.

Zhupanovsky (Kamchatka, Russia): A small ash plume was reported this morning rising to 7,000 ft (2.1 km) altitude. Most likely, more phreatic explosions occurred again (such as already week ago).

Batu Tara (Sunda Islands, Indonesia): Eruptions (strombolian to vulcanian type) continue at the remote island. An ash plume was spotted this morning on satellite images.

Sinabung (Sumatra, Indonesia): (5 Nov) The frequency and size of explosions seems to be picking up. Another eruption occurred this afternoon around 15:20 local time, sending an ash plume to 25,000 ft (7.5 km) altitude (VAAC Darwin).
