Tropical Storms – Roundup of Tropical Storms:

In the Southern Hemisphere: Tropical cyclone 24s (Habana), located approximately 997 nm east of Port Mathurin, Rodrigues Island, Mauritius,, is tracking south-southeastward at 03 knots.

Tropical cyclone 25s (Iman), located approximately 469 nm south-southeast of Port Louis, Mauritius, is tracking southeastward at 29 knots.

Spain – Heavy rain from 05 March caused flash flooding in Andalusia and Murcia regions of southern Spain. In a 24 hour period to 05 March, 127.2mm of rain fell in Estepona in Málaga Province and 77.8mm in Tarifa in the province of Cádiz, both in Andalusia. San Roque in Cádiz recorded 92.6mm the following day. Heavy rain and flooding also affected parts of neighbouring Murcia Region.

Algeria – At least 10 people died or are missing after flash floods in Chlef Province of Algeria on 06 March 2021. Chlef Province experienced heavy rainfall on 06 March, causing the Wadi Meknasa to flood in an areas of the Oud Sly Commune, west of the city of Chlef. Three vehicles were swept away in the flooding and nearby houses damaged.
