Yellow Fever – DR Congo
Two yellow fever cases in individuals from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) were confirmed by the WHO on 18 July.
Dengue Fever – Bangladesh
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in Bangladesh recorded an additional 143 new dengue cases on Tuesday as the surge in the mosquito borne disease continues in the country. This follows 123 cases reported on Monday and 105 on Sunday. A total of 1,954 patients have been diagnosed with dengue this year.
RSV – New Zealand
New Zealand is experiencing a respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) outbreak across the country. The numbers of cases started increasing sharply in early June and to date 3,232 cases have been reported through July 18, including the 689 cases reported that week.
