Drought

Hurricane Isaac has brought some relief to the drought affecting the US corn belt, but too late to save the current harvest with many farmers losing 80% of their crop.


Millions of migrating ducks, geese and other waterfowl will find fewer rest stops on their way south this fall — more fallout from the US drought that has parched marshes, ponds and wildlife refuges on flyways between North and South America.
