Storms and Floods

 

Tropical Storm Kristy forms off the coast of Mexico. Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Nadine has strengthened in the Atlantic to become a hurricane, but is still far from land. Named storms Michael and Leslie have dissipated.

Las Vegas has been hit by flash floods and mudslides. On Tuesday, torrential downpours left parts of the city underwater. Flash floods washed out roads, stranded motorists, and left thousands without power. Some areas had to contend with up to four feet of flash flood water.
