NSW Australia bushfires downgraded

Authorities say easing conditions moving across the New South Wales bushfire zones have seen two blazes downgraded.

The Old Hume Highway Fire, burning south of Yerrinbool near Alpine and the bush fire at Lower Portland on the Hawkesbury River, north of Sackville have both been downgraded to a Watch and Act alerts.

Residents in lower Portland are now being allowed back to their properties.

Whilst south of Yerrinbool there is no longer any immediate threat to properties.
