Flooding in St Vincent and the Grenadines has claimed the lives of at least eight people. A landslide and flooding in St Vincent and the Grenadines have damaged more than 24 houses. Landslides and flooding have also killed five people on St Lucia. According to BBC News Service, heavy rain has also caused destruction in Dominica, and in the eastern Caribbean.
The National Weather Service confirms at least five tornadoes struck Mississippi as a storm system moved across the state Friday and Saturday. At least three people were killed and four others injured.
