Landslide in China

A landslide in Yanjin County in China has buried at least nine people. Heavy rainfall triggered the landslide around 5 a.m Friday morning in the city of Zhaotong.

Flash Floods in India

Flash floods in Karnataka, India have claimed the lives of six people. Hundreds of people have been evacuated from low-lying areas in Dakshina Kannada and Malnad region. Heavy rainfall has flooded Dakshina Kannada, Shimoga, Hassan and Kodagu areas.

Heavy rainfall has also flooded Bantwal. At least ten houses have been flooded in Kasaba, Panemngalore area. A high alert has been issued in Indore.

Heavy rainfalls have submerged Hosamutta Bridge and disrupted traffic on the Kadaba-Uppinangady State Highway.

Landslides in Nepal

At least 50 people have been killed in landslides and floods in Nepal.

Damage Report provided by Nepal Emergency Operation Centre: -At least 50 dead; 15 injured. -More than 800 houses completely destroyed by floods; other 1,496 partially damaged. -Around 6,861 people displaced.

Floods and Landslides in North Carolina, USA

Flooding, landslides and a sinkhole occurred in Western North Carolina Thursday.

A landslide hit Vance Gap Road in the Chunns Cove area causing evacuations. The Red Cross is providing emergency shelter for evacuees.

According to emergency officials, mudslides have occurred in Asheville, Sunset Drive and Old Toll Road.

Flood waters have closed Tunnel Road between Kenilworth and Chunns Cove roads.

A sinkhole also swallowed part of a parking lot in Madison County.

Landslide in Ukay Perdana, Malaysia has claimed lives of three workers and injured one other.
