Volcanos

Roundup of Global Volcanic Activity:

Sakurajima (Kyushu, Japan): The volcano has had less (vulcanian) explosions, but showed near-constant strombolian activity and ash emissions today.

Reventador (Ecuador): Activity remained unchanged at moderate levels with sporadic explosions producing ash plumes up to about 1 km height.

Tungurahua (Ecuador): A new eruption occurred in the evening of 7 Oct, following an increase in seismic activity. An explosion with a cannon-shot noise ejected blocks that rolled down the flanks and caused light ash fall in Choglontus. A steam and ash column rose to 1 km above the crater during the night.
