Tropical Storms

Tropical storm Guchol/Butchoy has strengthened to become a super typhoon with wind speeds over 150 mph. The system is heading for Japan about 500 miles away.

Tropical Storm Carlotta hits Mexico's Pacific coast as hurricane, bringing strong winds and heavy rain. At least 2 people die.

Tropical Storm Carlotta forms in the Pacific and heads for the southern coast of Mexico.

Tropical storm Guchol/Butchoy passes through the Philippines and heads for Japan.

Britain is set to be hit by a once-in-50-years storm.

Tropical Storm Guchol enters the Philippines and is named 'Butchoy'. It is not expected to strike land, although it is strengthening and may become a typhoon over the weekend.
