Egypt Balloon Crash

Three Britons have died and another is in hospital after a hot air balloon crashed near the Egyptian city of Luxor.

Reports suggest 19 people were killed, with French, Hong Kong and Japanese nationals also among the dead.

The balloon was at 1,000 ft (300m) up when it exploded, caught fire and plunged on to agricultural fields west of Luxor, officials said.

A military cargo plane that was helping with the firefighting in South Dakota, USA has crashed killing the crew on board. 7 other military air force tankers have been grounded.

Aircraft Accidents

A passenger plane has crashed in Lagos, Nigeria after experiencing engine troubles. All 153 people on board were killed. A day of national mourning was declared in Nigeria.

An air tanker has crashed while fighting a wildfire in Utah, USA. Both pilots on board were killed.
