Bullet Train Derails in Japan

A Japanese bullet train carrying about 130 passengers and crew has derailed in heavy snow in northern Japan, although there were no reports of injuries. The six-carriage train was travelling at a drastically reduced speed of around 20 kilometres per hour due to the snow, when a number of wheels skipped off the track.

Passenger Plane Crash in Kazakhstan

A passenger plane crashed in thick fog near Kazakhstan's commercial capital Almaty on Tuesday and broke into pieces when it hit the ground, killing all 21 people on board.

Aircraft Accidents

A passenger plane has crashed in Lagos, Nigeria after experiencing engine troubles. All 153 people on board were killed. A day of national mourning was declared in Nigeria.

An air tanker has crashed while fighting a wildfire in Utah, USA. Both pilots on board were killed.

Airplane Crash

An airplane has gone down in northern Nepal after experiencing technical difficulties. 15 passengers are killed while 6 survive the accident. This is the second fatal crash to hit the local airline in two years.
