Up to 32 homes are feared lost and more than 11,000 hectares have been burnt, as firefighters continue to battle blazes in the Adelaide Hills.
The fire burning at Sampson Flat was declared a major emergency by authorities on Saturday, who described the fire conditions as the worst since Ash Wednesday in 1983.
The blaze is expected to burn for several days, with crews hoping to have it under control before hot and windy conditions return on Wednesday.
