Wildfires

Wildfires - Alberta, Canada

There are 43 wildfires burning in the province, including 12 that have started in the past 24 hours.

Only four however, are being called out-of-control, including two in the High Level area and one in the Lac La Biche region.

Wildfire officials warn that the Alberta fire situation remains high and dangerous.

Wildfires - New Mexico, USA

A wildfire burning in New Mexico - east of Douglas continues to grow.

The lightning-caused Guadalupe Fire that began on June 2nd has burned about 5,500 acres, according to the U.S. Forest Service.

The fire is burning grass and brush in the Peloncillo Mountains. The fire remains at zero percent containment.

272 personnel are battling this wildfire, and they're working to stop the flames from reaching a nearby ranch.
