Israel - Israel saw heavy rainfall Monday morning in the northern and central regions accompanied by thunder storms, with flood warnings in the communities of the Coastal Plain. The rain will be spreading to the Negev later Monday, with flood warnings in the streams of the Judea Desert, Dead Sea and Negev.
Malaysia - Parts of Malaysia were hit by floods on Tuesday (Jan 2) after constant rainfall over the long New Year weekend affected nearly 1,500 people in six states. Pahang was one of the worst hit states, with over 700 people from 183 families from the Rompin, Kuantan and Jerantut districts evacuated to 11 flood relief centres. 349 people from 95 families were evacuated to five relief centres in Rompin.
Singapore - The first day of the New Year brought flash floods to three districts in Johor, forcing more than 200 people to seek shelter at relief centres. Heavy downpour since late Sunday evening caused floods to hit Labis, Kota Tinggi and Mersing on Monday.
Philippines - Tropical depression Agaton (One) triggered floods and landslides in Iligan City, Tuesday as it dumped rains on areas still reeling from back-to-back storms last week. Floods up to knee-deep swamped parts of barangay Palao, Hinaplanon, Tubod, Tipanoy, Santiago, Tibanga, Bagong Silang, San Miguel and Tambacan. Mud and debris covered a portion of C-3 Road in Barangay Tubod at 4:30 a.m., rendering it impassable.
