Wildfires - Florida, USA
A total of 69,159 acres is under fire while only a combined 5% is contained in the Big Cypress National Preserve. Below are a list of fires burning and containment levels:
Buzzard Fire: 51,024 acres, 8% contained
Flamingo Fire: 9,794 acres, 5% contained
Curlew Fire: 8,339 acres, 15% contained
Wildfires - Arizona, USA
A wildfire, which started in the area south of Pinery Canyon, is burning in the Chiricahua Mountains 12 miles east of Douglas. As of 8:00 p.m. Saturday, officials said the fire had grown to 1200 acres.
