In the Western Pacific Ocean: Tropical Storm 25w (Nakri), located approximately 274 nm east-northeast of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, is tracking westward 10 knots.
In the Indian Ocean: Tropical cyclone 23w (Matmo/Bulbul), located approximately 79 nm north of Dhaka, Bangladesh, is tracking east-northeastward at 08 knots.

Bangladesh and India - Over 1.8 million people in the vulnerable Bangladeshi coastal districts are being evacuated to 4,071 cyclone shelters ahead of Tropical Cyclone Bulbul (Matmo). Bulbul made landfall between Sagar Islands of West Bengal and Khepupara in Bangladesh. Two deaths have been reported so far in Kolkata and Odisha.
