Wildfires

A wildfire driven by strong winds has forced the evacuation of the tiny town of Crookston in northern Nebraska. Wildfires also burning in Boone, Cherry, Fillmore, Holt, Knox, Merrick and Nance counties across Nebraska, accounting for an estimated 58,000 acres.


Wind-fueled wildfire wipes out the small North Dakota town of Bucyrus; 27 people displaced.


Air tankers are being called in as wildfires in southwestern Colorado continue to threaten homes.
