Storms and Floods

Tropical Storms

In the Atlantic Ocean:

Tropical Depression #9 formed in the far eastern Atlantic. Maximum winds are 30 mph but it is expected to strengthen into Tropical Storm Humberto later today. It is forecast to become the first Atlantic hurricane of the season on Wednesday. If it does, it will tie the record for the latest forming first hurricane of the season. The forecast track curves the storm northward around the Cape Verde islands, where there are already tropical storm warnings up. The storm will stay far away from Florida (3,000 miles), and not effect their weather at all.

NewsBytes:

A lightning strike in San Antonio, Texas has killed an eight year old boy and injured one other.
