Eta Aquarid meteor shower

The annual Eta Aquarid meteor shower will begin to peak tonight, according to NASA, although you might get a glimpse of a few for the next few nights.

The shower is expected to peak overnight May 5-6. Slightly higher rates are likely tonight than on May 6-7, but NASA said the annual shower has a broad peak.

The pre-dawn hours of May 8 may also provide a decent shot at seeing a meteor, according to EarthSky.org.

Some meteors may be visible after the peak, NASA said. The shower is typically active from April 19 through May 28.
