In the Southern Hemisphere: Tropical cyclone (tc) 03s (Ava), located approximately 335 nm north-northwest of St Denis, is tracking southeastward at 04 knots.

Britain - Thousands of homes have been left without power as Storm Eleanor hit Britain with winds of up to 80mph. An amber weather warning was issued for southern parts of Northern Ireland and northern England as well as southern fringes of Scotland overnight. Floods have already hit in Bantry, Ireland, as a result of Storm Eleanor.
