Nicaragua - A major mopping-up operation is under way in Nicaragua following widespread flooding which left thousands homeless. The government has set up shelters for Nicaraguans who lost their homes and are providing them with food and supplies.

Texas, USA - Rescue crews in boats and helicopters were searching Monday for at least four people missing since flooding from heavy rain washed away a recreational vehicle park in a small West Texas city. In all, at least a dozen RVs were washed away by the flooding. Nineteen other people have been rescued, some by boat and some from the air by helicopter crews. A flood warning is in effect for the Llano River from Llano downstream to Kingsland after torrential rainfall early yesterday morning created a major flood on the river in Junction. A couple dozen people were rescued, and others are reported missing.
