Tropical Storms – Roundup of Tropical Storms:

In the Southern Hemisphere: Tropical cyclone 08s (Danilo), located approximately 623 nm south-southeast of Diego Garcia, is tracking west-soutwestward at 06 knots.

Bolivia – A short period of torrential rain and hail during the afternoon of 04 January 2021 caused flash flooding in parts of the city of Sucre in Chuquisaca Department, Bolivia. Authorities report that at least 4 people died, 6 are missing and 7 were injured as a result of the severe weather. The intense rain and hail also caused considerable material damage to vehicles and buildings. Several stalls of traders from the Mercado Campesino were swept away.

Indonesia – A total of 760 houses in nine villages of Cerme sub district and Gresik district of Indonesia’s East Java province had been submerged by floods, the National Disaster Management Agency said on Tuesday. The floods occurred because waters of the Lamong River were overflowing following previous heavy rains with high intensity since 9:20 am local time (on Tuesday).
