Measles – DR Congo

The measles epidemic continues to spread in the health zones that make up the province of Kasaï-Oriental. More than 300 cases including 7 deaths were recorded in one week. In 2022 through June 19, the Democratic Republic of the Congo has seen 71,327 total measles cases, including 1,001 deaths (1.4% CFR).

Monkeypox

France – According to Public Health France, as of July 12, 912 cases have been confirmed.

USA – New Monkeypox cases have been reported from Delaware, the Florida Keys, Louisiana and Wisconsin.

Dengue Fever – Vietnam

In a follow-up on the dengue fever epidemic in Vietnam, according to local reports, as of July 11, the country recorded more than 103,000 cases of dengue fever. This number increased by about 11,000 cases compared to the statistics 1 week earlier.

Unknown Illness – Tanzania

The Tanzania Ministry of Health reported today that thirteen patients have been diagnosed with an undiagnosed disease in Mbekenyera village, Ruangwa District Council, Lindi Region and three of them have died.
