Tropical Storms
In the Atlantic Ocean:
The tropical atmosphere continues to try to get more active, such as with Gabrielle and the now dissipated Tropical Depression Eight, but overall continues to be extraordinarily quiet for what is now usually the very peak of the season.
In the Eastern Pacific:
In the eastern Pacific, thunderstorms have decreased over Tropical Depression Lorena. Weakening is forecast as it parallels the Baja California peninsula this weekend. Aside from localized heavy rainfall and flooding, impacts from Lorena in Mexico will be limited.
