Roundup of Global Volcanic Activity
Batu Tara (Sunda Islands, Indonesia): Intense strombolian activity continues at the volcano. A volcanic ash plume at estimated 5,000 ft (1.5 km) altitude was observed extending 80 km to the west of the volcano this morning. (VAAC Darwin)
