Tropical Depression Three is located approximately 392 nm south-southeast of Kadena AB, and is tracking north-northwestward at 08 knots.

In the South Indian Ocean

Tropical Cyclone One is located approximately 465 nm west-southwest of Diego Garcia, and is tracking west-southeastward at 12 knots.

Sudan - Heavy rains and flash floods in Sudan’s war-torn region of Darfur killed nine people, the official SUNA news agency reported. The deaths occurred in the town of El-Fasher, the capital of the state of North Darfur.

India - Floods triggered by incessant rains have swept away two motorable bridges and damaged a hydropower project along the swollen Tamor river. In Parbat, floods damaged an intake of Modikhola Hydropower Project, knocking out the 14-megawatt power generation. Water levels in a landslide-dammed lake in the Tamor River in Sawadin, Taplejung, has increased, leaving the downstream settlement at risk. A fresh rockfall blocked water flow in the river.
