Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa - Heavy rains and storms in the province have caused havoc with roads and railway lines flooded, landslides and tornadoes. Beaches in Durban have been closed while emergency services have battled to keep up with rescue services. Across the high altitudes, snowfalls have been seen across large areas of the Drakensburg.

Hawaii - Oahu reported heavy rainfall from Tropical Storm Darby, and officials said dozens called for help as their homes were surrounded by water.

Moscow, Russia - Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin has been mocked online after extraordinary flooding wreaked havoc in the Russian capital and briefly submerged a street next to the Kremlin in knee-deep water. City authorities said the flooding on July 22 was the result of a freak rainfall. During the heavy downpour, social networks were inundated with pictures of cars driving through what looked like rivers and lakes that had formed on iconic central Moscow streets.
