Japan - Typhoon Mindulle lashed Tokyo on Monday, dumping heavy rain across the capital while nationwide at least one person was feared dead in storm-related incidents. Storm water coursed down usually placid rivers and left many streets flooded, with conditions expected to peak by the afternoon. Staff at Narita International Airport abandoned the control tower when winds reached 126 kph, a Transport Ministry official said. The move shut down the airport for about an hour.
