Dengue Fever – Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka health authorities continue to report high levels of dengue fever into early 2020. As of February 10, the country’s Epidemiology Unit has reported 11,352 cases, about double that was reported during the same period in 2019. Two deaths have been reported from across the country by February 7.
Novel Coronavirus – China
China reported 108 new coronavirus deaths on Tuesday, a daily record, bringing the total number of people killed in the country to 1,016, but the number of new cases fell.
There were 2,478 new confirmed cases on the mainland on 10 February, down from 3,062 on the previous day, bringing the total to 42,638, the National Health Commission said.
