In the Atlantic Ocean: Tropical depression Colin dissipated over North Carolina soon after forming. The remnants are moving toward the northeast near 10 mph (17 km/h) and are expected to turn east-northeastward and accelerate soon, emerging over the Atlantic waters east of North Carolina.
In the Eastern North Pacific Ocean: Tropical storm 04e (Bonnie), located approximately 1964 nm southeast of San Diego, is tracking westward at 11 knots.
In the Northwest Pacific Ocean – Remnants of Tropical storm 04w (Chaba), located approximately 190 nm west of Hong Kong, is tracking north-northwestward at 09 knots. This is the final warning for this system.
Tropical storm 05w (Aere), located approximately 111 nm northwest of Kadena AFB, is tracking northwestward at 05 knots.

Australia – Thousands of people in low-lying areas around Sydney are being asked to evacuate as residents and holiday-makers face “dangers on multiple fronts” in the region’s third major flooding event since March. In the past 24 hours, the NSW State Emergency Service has responded to more than 1,400 requests for assistance and conducted 29 flood rescues as torrential rain continues to lash large parts of the state.
