Tropical Storms – Roundup of Tropical Storms:
In the Eastern North Pacific Ocean: Hurricane 04e (Bonnie), located approximately 1616 nm southeast of San Diego, is tracking west-northwestward at 18 knots.
In the Northwest Pacific Ocean – Tropical storm 05w (Aere), located approximately 169 nm southwest of Sasebo, Japan, is tracking north-northeastward at 08 knots.

Brazil – Torrential rain and overflowing rivers in northeastern Brazil has prompted thousands of people to evacuate their homes in the states of Alagoas, Pernambuco and Rio Grande do Norte. One person was reported missing in floods in Pernambuco.
Australia – Australia’s Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) reported extremely heavy rainfall from 02 July. In a 48 hour period to 04 July as much as 552.5 mm of rain fell at Brogers Creek in the Illawarra region. Elsewhere Wattamolla recorded 318 mm of rain in 24 hours to 03 July and Beaumont saw 184.8 mm in 24 hours to 04 July. This is the fourth flood event in New South Wales so far this year. Parts of the state experienced severe flooding in early March, late March and again in April.
