Tropical Storms - Roundup of Tropical Storms:

Tropical cyclone (tc) 03s (Bakung), located approximately 466 nm west-northwest of Cocos Island, and is tracking west-northwestward at 08 knots.

Algeria - A violent storm in Algeria has claimed the life of one person and left three others missing. A boat with a crew consisting of a captain and three others was hit by a huge wave of ten meters high. Rescue operations are continuing for the missing sailors.

Indonesia - A landslide triggered by torrential rain killed at least 17 people and left 107 others missing on Indonesia’s main island of Java. About 105 houses were buried when mud rolled down from surrounding hills late Friday into Jemblung village in Banjarnegara district of Central Java province.

Los Angeled, USA - A Pacific storm pounded Southern California with heavy rain and high winds on Friday, triggering flash floods and mudslides that prompted the evacuation of hundreds of homes, damaged dozens of others and disrupted passenger rail service along the coast.
