Tropical Storms - Roundup of Tropical Storms:

Super Typhoon 22w (Hagupit), located approximately 360 nm east-southeast of Manila, Philippines, and is tracking westward at 8 knots.

The typhoon will only weaken slightly as it nears the Philippines, and is expected to come very close to the Eastern Samar province late Saturday. Forecasts then take Hagupit directly over the country with current predictions expecting the storm to come very close to the capital, Manila, on Monday. Along with damaging winds and flooding rains, the typhoon is expected to bring a destructive tidal surge to eastern areas of the country. More than 600 000 people have fled the approach of Hagupit.
