Dengue Fever - Bangladesh

The dengue fever situation in Bangladesh worsens each day as the numbers only get higher. In a 24 hour period Wednesday, some 2,400 additional cases were reported. Year to date, the country has reported 35,000 dengue cases, with the vast majority since July. The officials death toll stands at 29, with unofficial numbers much higher.

Ebola - DR Congo

The Ebola virus disease (EVD) outbreak in North Kivu and Ituri provinces in the Democratic Republic of the Congo continued this week with similar transmission intensity to recent weeks with an average of 86 cases per week (range 80 to 91 cases per week) in the past six weeks.
