Wildfires - Canary Islands
Wildfires are raging in Spain's Canary Islands. About 400 residents were evacuated on Sunday (August 11) from several neighborhoods in Gran Canaria as a huge wildfire spread close to a National Park and in an area popular with holidaymakers.

A bush fire north of Crescent Head near Loftus Rd has burnt through 850 hectares of bushland since Saturday. Around 70 firefighters have attended the blaze, with crews working around the clock to bring the fire under control and protect properties in the vicinity of Loftus Rd and Richardsons Crossing on Saturday and Sunday.
