In the Western Pacific Ocean: Super Typhoon 20w (Hagibis), located approximately 274 nm north-northwest of Andersen AFB, Guam, is tracking northwestward at 13 knots.

Alaska - Juneau was pummeled with inches of rain this weekend, leading to a flood advisory and mudslides in some areas. Residents in one area of Douglas were advised to evacuate. The sodden ground caused mudslides in some areas, and wrecked roads and ditches. Several reports have been made of flooding and landslides in the downtown and Douglas Island area.
India - Flooding continues to affect Bihar, especially the Rajendranagar area. The Ganga, Sone, Punpun, Adhwara, Kosi, Mahananda and Parman rivers are at dangerous levels. 22 million people across 14 districts are affected by floods. With these conditions, there has been an outbreak of Dengue, Chikungunya and Malaria. As of 6 October, about 900 people tested positive for dengue in Bihar, including 640 cases in Patna due to waterlogged streets. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, Patna and its nearby regions are likely to receive more rainfall over the next two days.
