Wildfires - Australia
Large parts of northern NSW are burning as two out of control bushfires ravage the region, with fire authorities hoping a change of weather conditions brings relief on Wednesday.
A number of properties were destroyed in Rappville, south of Casino, after fire tore through the small rural town on Tuesday afternoon.
The largest of the four blazes is around Long Gully Road in Drake, about 130 kilometres inland from Ballina. The fire, which is over 70,000 hectares in size and has been burning for weeks, spread out of control on the south-eastern side of the fire around Ewingar on Tuesday afternoon.
