Wildfires – Texas, USA

The Texas A&M Forest Service was called to help fight four different wildfires this weekend in the Big Country.

The largest of those in the Coke County estimated to be 3,200 acres and 5% contained.

The McDaniel fire has consumed 3,200 acres and is 5-percent contained as of Sunday evening.

Hot, dry weather combined with high winds have allowed multiple wildfires to burn thousands of acres across the Concho Valley in the past few days.

Active fires in the region include the Arroyo Grande Fire burning near Sonora, the 10 Mile Ranch Fire and the McDaniel Fire burning northwest of San Angelo.
