Colombia – Wide areas of Colombia have seen heavy rainfall since the start of July. According to the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management (UNGRD), the rain has caused over 80 incidents of flooding or landslides in 19 departments of the country, with over 5,000 families affected. Hundreds of homes were damaged by flooding in Sibundoy and Mocoa municipalities of Putumayo Department on 04 July, 2020. Media report over 2,000 families were affected. Meanwhile in Antioquia, the departmental government reports that 4,575 people have been affected by heavy rains and winds and 39 homes have been destroyed. Three people died when a river broke its banks, sweeping away a house in Piedecuesta, Santander Department on 08 July. Meanwhile heavy rain on 11 July triggered a landslide in Santa Marta, Magdalena, causing a house to collapse and 2 fatalities.

Indonesia – Heavy rain continues to fall in parts of Indonesia, causing flooding and landslides across several provinces which have left at least 17 dead and over 40 missing since 11 July. The worst of the flooding is in North Luwu Regency in South Sulawesi Province, where at least 16 people have died.

South Korea – Two people died after torrential rain in South Korea triggered flash flooding on 13 July, 2020. Several locations recorded more than 200mm of rain in 24 hours. Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) reported 277 mm of rain in Sancheong in South Gyeongsang Province in 24 hours to 13 July, while Buan, North Jeolla Province recorded 228 mm and Geoje near Busan South Gyeongsa Province 210 mm.

Pakistan – Flash floods triggered by a glacial lake outburst flood destroyed homes and damaged buildings in the Lower Chitral district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The flooding occurred in the Golen valley of Lower Chitral district on 13 July, 2020. Power and water infrastructure was damaged and roads washed away.
