Cases of chikungunya have been rising rapidly in Chad in the past weeks, suggesting a heavy vector load in the city of Abéché, the most affected area of the country. In a follow-up on the chikungunya outbreak in Chad, the World Health Organization (WHO) is reporting a total of 10,631 cases as of August 31.
