In the Western Pacific Ocean: Typhoon 10w (Maysak), located approximately 475 nm south-southwest of Busan, South Korea, is tracking northward at 05 knots.

Tropical storm 11w (Eleven), located approximately 290 nm southeast of Iwo To, Japan, is tracking southwestward at 07 knots.

Authorities report that at least 24 people have died and 11,000 were rescued after flooding struck from 28 August 2020. Torrential rain was reported in the state from 27 to 31 August. Hoshangabad (also known as Narmadapuram), recorded over 400 mm of rain in 24 hours to 30 August. ndia’s Disaster Management Division (DMD) said that over the last few days flooding affected 33,000 people across 1,906 villages of 28 districts in the state. A total of 11,197 homes have been damaged during this time.

Mexico – Heavy rain in Mexico in the wake of Tropical Storm Hernán has caused flooding in the states of Jalisco and Colima over the last few days. Evacuations were carried out in Cihuatlán and La Huerta in Jalisco and Manzanillo in Colima after floods and landslides from 27 August. In a 24 hour period to 28 August, El Chiflón in Jalisco recorded 229.5 mm of rain and Manzanillo in Colima 290.3 mm. Over 600 homes have been damaged in Jalisco, mostly in Cihuatlán and La Huerta municipalities. One person died as a result of strong winds in La Huerta.
