Pakistan – Further flash floods and heavy rain have affected parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province in northern Pakistan. On 28 August FloodList reported that at least 16 people had died after flash flooding and landslides in Kohistan, Swat and Shangla districts from 26 to 28 August. On 03 September, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) reported a further 30 fatalities occurred in the period 31 August to 03 September. After days of heavy rainfall.
North Korea – Typhoon Maysak brought strong winds and heavy rain as it swept across the Korean Peninsula on 03 September. In South Korea, much of the damage from Maysak was caused by strong winds. Some coastal flooding was reported in Samcheok in Gangwon. Homes were damaged or destroyed in Gangwon, Jeju, South Gyeongsang Province and Busan, according to news agency Yonhap.
