Wildfires – California
The Fawn Fire ignited Wednesday afternoon in the area of Fawndale and Radcliff roads, north of Redding, according to Cal Fire. The Fawn Fire has charred an estimated 8,559 acres, or 13 square miles, as of Saturday evening, according to Cal Fire. Some 144 structures have been confirmed destroyed and more than 2,000 remain threatened. The fire is 45% contained. About 4,000 Shasta County residents were forced to evacuate.
