Tropical Storms – Roundup of Tropical Storms:

In the Southern Hemisphere: Tropical cyclone 08s (Batsirai), located approximately 148 nm south-southwest of Antananarivo, Madagascar, is tracking west-southwestward at 13 knots.

Tropical cyclone 10p (Cliff), located approximately 1023 nm south-southeast of Diego Garcia, is tracking southwestward at 14 knots.

New Zealand – A state highway in Taranaki has been closed and homes evacuated as heavy rain and floods hit the region. Throughout the rest of the region, heavy rainfall is expected to result in localised flooding and damage. Surface flooding, slips and disruptions are expected as the rain continues. At Cape Egmont, 138mm of rainfall was recorded between 6am to 10am.
