The countries with the 10 greatest number of Covid-19 cases:

Monkeypox – Nigeria

Nigerian health officials reported four confirmed monkeypox cases through February 28 this year. No deaths were reported. Since September 2017, Nigeria has continued to report sporadic cases of monkeypox (525) with 8 deaths.

Human Bird Flu – China

The Hong Kong Centre for Health Protection (CHP) reported recently six additional human H9N2 avian influenza cases from Mainland China. Five of the cases were in young children and four cases had an onset date of 2021. No deaths were reported.

Measles – Nigeria

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reported 254 confirmed measles cases in January 2022 from 16 states. The age group of 9 – 59 months accounted for 180 (70.9%) of all confirmed cases. No deaths were reported. Officials also report 908 suspected cases during the month.
