Alabama, USA – Storms in Alabama, USA brought heavy rainfall and flash flooding on roads and highways in the Birmingham Metropolitan area on 16 March 2022.

Australia – Flash flooding in the outback city of Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia, on 15 March 2022 has prompted flood rescues and caused one fatality. While many areas of northern and eastern parts of the state are recovering from the widespread flooding that began in late February, heavy rain caused flash flooding in the far west of New South Wales (NSW) on 15 March 2022.

Ecuador – One person is reported missing after heavy rain caused flash floods and landslides in the Province of Loja in southern Ecuador. Flooding struck in the city of Loja after a heavy downpour on 15 March. Streets in the city were flooded and several houses damaged. One person was missing after being swept away by flood waters.

Peru – Several people are missing and homes were destroyed after a massive landslide in La Libertad region in northwestern Peru on 15 March 2022. The landslide was the result of heavy rains. The landslide pushed part of a hillside onto homes below in the town of Retamas in Parcoy District, in the Pataz province of La Libertad. An estimated 60 buildings have been affected. Initial assessments suggest 15 houses and 1 commercial building were completely destroyed.
