Tropical Storms – Roundup of Tropical Storms:

In the Southern Hemisphere: Tropical cyclone 14s (Vernon), located approximately 952 nm southeast of Diego Garcia, is tracking southwestward at 06 knots.

Tropical cyclone 15s (Anika), has re-formed and is located approximately 128 nm east-northeast of Port Hedland, Australia, is tracking south-southwestward at 08 knots.

Tropical cyclone 17s (Seventeen), located approximately 711 nm north-northwest of Learmonth, Australia, is tracking northeastward at 01 knots.

Washington State, USA – A Category 4 “atmospheric river” was bombarding the Pacific Northwest Monday, unleashing heavy rain and high-altitude snow while triggering flooding and the risk of avalanches. National Weather Service issued flood warnings for multiple area rivers while the Northwest Avalanche Center had placed avalanche warnings in effect for large portions of the Cascade Mountains, describing “very dangerous” conditions.
